His continued success of WMR Contractors by focusing on the development and investment of our team, technology and assets has ensured our sustained growth. Having at one time or another worked across every department and principal of the company Andrew has first hand knowledge of how each and every project should be delivered to ensure our high levels of quality and safety are maintained.
David Neilson
Senior Contracts Manager
David joined WMR in 2018 and has been instrumental in the companies growth and sustainability. A qualified construction manager with a proven track record in the delivery of new build and refurbishment projects, of varying sizes, David’s communication skills with our clients and site staff, his problem solving and project forecasting are fundamental to our successful project delivery. David’s main focus are on health & safety, sustainability and quality control which ensures we can deliver our projects in the safest and most sustainable manner, on time, in budget and to the highest level of quality at all times.
Kenneth McGowan
Contracts Manager
Long time construction manager with nearly 50 year’s experience in the successful delivery of a variety of construction projects. Ken has a wealth of experience in the repair, maintenance and redevelopment of commercial and traditional buildings including the working on several key projects at the redevelopment of Miller Street, Gallowgate and the Saltmarket.
With the company since its inception, Ken now focuses mostly on the management of the repair and maintenance and specialist services aspects of our business, his ability to resolve any problem on site and unrivalled work ethic are key to our success.
Rose Kennedy
Business Support Manager
Rose joined WMR in early 2023 and has proven a vital addition to the team. Rose fulfils multiple roles for the company across every department from assisting the construction teams, commercial assistance, to business development and administration. Rose came to WMR with an in depth knowledge of the construction business established over her career having work in various roles for other Glasgow based contractors. Roses cool, calm and collected attitude no matter the situation is impressive and her effectiveness in ensuring all teams and departments work together like a finely tuned machine is unparalleled.
Jack Allan
Construction Manager
Jack brings a wealth of experience as a construction manager with a focus on new build commercial/residential construction and refurbishment projects. With a keen focus on health and safety, programming, operations and project delivery Jack is tasked with a daily focus on successful project delivery on our most high profile projects.
Mark Haldane
Commercial Manager
Mark leads our commercial team and has over 40 years experience in the construction industry across a variety of sectors including fit out, retail, construction, engineering, commercial, housing, education and healthcare. Mark is responsible for overseeing our commercial team, managing tender submissions and ensuring the financial viability of our projects throughout their life cycle and ensure cost certainty for our clients through his commercial monitoring of projects.
Mary Rae
Quantity Surveyor/Project Manager
Mary is an experienced quantity surveyor and project manager with over 17 years experience (including Project Management / Lead Design Consultant / Contract Administrator) and is extremely well versed in all aspects of project, risk, financial and contract management as well as Client care and liaising with required stakeholders. Mary works across a variety of departments and handles commercial, operations and procurement matters for all projects with a focus on reducing waste, innovative solutions and clear communication between different teams within the company.
Zoe McAleese
Assistant Building Surveyor
Zoe is a qualified Building Surveyor and Construction Manager having previously worked at Pick Everard Zoe has a broad spectrum of experience on multiple construction projects across the UK. Zoe makes up a vital part of our commercial and surveying team assisting with the production and pricing of tenders, schedules, applications, invoicing, surveys and on site management. Zoe is currently working towards becoming a Chartered Surveyor & Builder.
Irene McGowan
Accounts Manager
Irene has been with WMR since the company was first established with an array of experience in the financial management and account departments of successful companies she heads our accounts/finance team and controls all matters from invoicing to accounts payments.
Stephanie MacFadyen
Accounts Team
Steph joined WMR in 2024 and is responsible for a variety of accountancy and financial matters throughout the business, she is a qualified accountant with previous experience within the construction industry. Steph also handles onboarding new sub-contractors, invoicing, supplier payments and CIS amongst her other tasks.
Tammy Ade
Office Administrator
Tammy joined the team in 2023 in the role of office administrator and is currently completing an apprenticeship in Business Management. She has a wide variety of duties across the office and Business Support team
